Weddings
May we be married at St Mary's?
Normally, only if you live within the parish boundaries. Please contact the Vicar for further advice.
It is not possible to be married at St Mary's if you or your partner have been divorced and your former spouse is still living.
How do we proceed if we are eligible?
The first thing to do is to contact the Vicar to discuss your proposed wedding plans. He will complete an Application Form with you and a non-refundable deposit is payable before your wedding can be firmly booked. A further meeting will be held to discuss the details of the service itself.
What fees are involved?
A Table of Fees is published annually which includes both fees set by the national Church of England and local fees payable within the parish. The total cost for a 'standard' wedding is in the region of £600.
How long is the service?
About fifty minutes including the Signing of the Registers.
