The Guild of All Souls
The Guild was founded to promote the practice of intercessory prayer for the departed. It also holds the patronage of more than forty parishes in the Church of England giving the Guild the right to appoint the parish priest. St Mary's is a Guild living and the Vicar is a member of the Guild's Council and Patronage Committee.
The Bishop of Richborough
The Bishop of Richborough, the Right Reverend Keith Newton, is one of the Church of England's Provincial Bishops and has a responsibility to care for those in his area who hold firm to the Church's teaching and are unable to accept the ordination of women to the priesthood. St Mary's petitioned for 'extended episcopal care' almost as soon as the scheme was implemented and has enjoyed a close relationship with Bishop Keith and his predecessor, Bishop Edwin Barnes.
Forward in Faith
Forward in Faith represents the interests of those parishes and people who seek to remain faithful to the historic Christian Faith as it is found in Scripture and Tradition. St Mary's is a Forward in Faith Affiliated Parish.
The Society of the Holy Cross
SSC (from the initials of the Society's Latin title, Societas Sanctae Crucis) is the oldest of the Church of England's catholic societies and unites over a thousand priests worldwide in a shared rule of life. The Society meets regularly in local Chapters and regional Synods. The Vicar of St Mary's is a member of the Society's Council.
Walsingham
The Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham is a popular place of pilgrimage and 'England's Nazareth'. There has been a long connection between St Mary's parish and the Shrine and each May a weekend Parish Pilgrimage takes place. There is a statue of Our Lady of Walsingham in St Mary's where prayers are offered and candles may be lit. Mass on the first Saturday of each month is offered for the Shrine and its work.
St Stephen's House
St Stephen's House in Oxford is one of the Church of England's Theological Colleges where candidates for ordination receive their priestly training and formation.
Pusey House
Pusey House in Oxford is a centre of 'sacred learning' where study and research are undertaken within the context of Christian prayer and the sacraments. The House has a particular ministry to members of the University.
Additional Curates Society
The ACS helps with the discernment of priestly vocation and actively supports ministry in 'poor and populous' parishes. St Mary's has long supported the Society through its Lenten giving scheme.
Oratory of the Good Shepherd
The Oratory is an Anglican religious community of laymen, priests and bishops.
